Helvetas Kyrgyzstan is looking for a Project Manager of Bai Alai Programme

Duty station in Osh, with frequent travels to and within Alai and Chon Alai regions, occasionally field trips to Bishkek.
Main tasks:
  • Lead the Bai Alai programme in all aspects of project cycle management
  • Provide leadership and foster an atmosphere of cooperation among programme staff to achieve programme objectives
  • Coordinate and provide guidance on strategic and operational issues related to project management and implementation
  • Ensure mainstreaming of gender related issues in all supported value chains and other project activities by the project staff, partners and service providers
  • Execute and maintain a proper monthly, quarterly and annual planning and data monitoring system (financial and operational, including against the logframe) to ensure the quality control of the programme’s outputs and expected outcomes, according to the Project Management Framework (PMF)
  • Ensure the complete preparation and timely submission of monthly, half yearly and yearly reports in time
  • Monitor and supervise that project planning and implementation related milestones are observed and adhered to by staff and partners
  • High degree in business administration, economics or similar domain, preferably MBA
  • Business management
  • Marketing & export background/experience
  • Sound knowledge and experience in PCM, including outcome-based M&E
  • M4P approach
  • DCED standards and audits
  • At least five years’ experience in value chains and private sector development
  • At least three years’ experience in project management
  • Methodological and/or leadership competencies
  • Result-oriented personality / maintaining deadlines
  • Process facilitation / moderation and coaching skills
  • Knowledge and experience in participatory and gender-sensitive approaches
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, visionary and programmatic competencies

  • Negotiation skills
  • Languages: English (oral and written), Kyrgyz (oral and written) and Russian (oral and written)
